Pointing Your Domain With Wild West Domains
Edit your “@” record under “A (Host)” in your Domain Control Panel (under DNS Manager); point it to 188.8.131.52 and save; log into your site, then click “More” on the shelf and select “URL / Custom Tracking Code“; enter the domain in the Top Level Domain field, select “Redirect Subdomain to Top Level Domain” and save.
You can easily connect your own domain to your site, and here are the steps for how to do this if you’ve registered your domain through Wild West Domains (note: the following instructions assume you’ve already registered your domain through Wild West Domains, and be aware that it can take up to 48 hours for the domain to propagate fully).
1. Login to your Wild West Domains Account & Access Your Domain Control Panel
Click here to login, and enter your Customer # or Login Name and password, and click “Secure Login”. Next to “Domains”, click “Launch”.
2. Go To Your DNS Settings
Click the domain name you want to update, and, in the “DNS Manager” section, click “Launch”.
3. Point Your Domain to our IP Address
Under the “A (Host)” section, look for the “@” record under “Host” and change what’s in the “Points to” field to 184.108.40.206 (our IP address). Leave the “TTL” field as whatever it is by default, and then click “Save Zone File” and then “OK”. If there isn’t an “@” record under “Host” currently, click the “Add New Record” button, enter “@” in the “Host Name” field and enter 220.127.116.11 in the “Points to IP Address” field. Click “OK”, then “Save Zone File”, and then “OK” again to complete adding the new record.
